Detroit Mayor Dave Bing made news when he announced that he would not seek reelection to the top post in the economically challenged city, but he made even more news when he immediately added that he was exploring the possibility of running for the post of Wayne County Executive - currently held by (somewhat) embattled Robert Ficano. Does the idiom "Out of the frying pan into the fire" sound familiar?
