CARTOONS of the WEEK: Help for Haiti and an Auto Show Sweep for Ford

The News-Herald - January 20
School children throughout the metro area, including Downriver, were moved to help the survivors of the earthquake in Haiti. News-Herald editor Karl Ziomek agreed that highlighting their efforts, and the spirit in which they were made, was an appropriate tribute to the generosity of Downriver kids.
The Press & Guide - January 20
Ford scored a sweep of both Car of the Year and Truck of the Year at the 2010 North American International Auto Show. The wins validated the quality of "American made" and provided a much-needed lift to its headquarters hometown community of Dearborn, and to the whole metro Detroit area. Press & Guide editor Tim Powers agreed that a cartoon celebrating it was in order.
That's the Point!
