Comfort food for a good cause - the annual Downriver Salvation Army "Soup Day" is always worth highlighting and saluting. To the west, in Dearborn, Henry Ford Community College treated area residents to some culture that's unavailable elsewhere.

Local culture, like community theater, is a treasure. "The Carol Burnett Show" dinner theater at Biddle Hall is one of those treasures. I was fortunate to experience its first run, in 2010, and I'm happy to celebrate its return this year!
