I penned this cartoon in 2013, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I chose this image because I identified with John Jr. throughout the horrible national ordeal of the assassination and funeral; as I believe our whole generation did. We weren't voters, we weren't Democrats or Republicans, we were kids - like John Jr. - and we all felt his agony over the loss of his dad. It wasn't until decades later, as we grew to be adults, that we realized the terrible impact the loss of his dad would have on us and our nation for decades to come. That's the Point!
