Detroit - at heart - was, is, always will be "Tiger Town" first. With the Tigers in the ALDS v. Oakland, signs of "playoff fever" are everywhere, including in two of my cartoons this week - one for
The News-Herald, the other for
The Press & Guide. Part of the magic, I believe, of a major league baseball playoff run is the virtual extension of summer. Even if we have to bundle up against autumn winds for the late games, our Tigers - our "boys of summer" - still warm our hearts!
