The News-Herald - September 5All my adult life, I've seen that Labor Day weekend seems to be more about weekend labor than a holiday celebrating the importance of the American laborer. Three days to pack in the last of the summer recreation AND get as many of the pre-autumn outdoor chores done as possible. Thank goodness for Tuesday after Labor Day - it's a chance for us to go back to work and catch up on our rest!
