CARTOON of the DAY: Marshmallow Eggs, Scrambled?!

The News-Herald - March 25
Sometimes, you just have to have fun and celebrate a "feel good" event in the community. Today was one of those days ... seasonal, and a little bit silly.

Cartoon of the Day: You Can't Get There From Here ... Or Can You?

Crain's Detroit Business - March 19
Nobody likes to take directions - from an annoying GPS - or from anybody. I have every confidence that Mayor Bing and cooler heads among Detroit's elected officials will manage to steer the city through its current financial perils, but - in the end - they may have to take a few directions.

CARTOON of the DAY: Real 'March Madness!'

The News-Herald - March 18
March always "heats up" around here with the MHSAA Basketball State Championships and the NCAA Basketball Tournament, but add to that temperatures in the 60s and 70s (maybe even higher on the last day of winter!) and you have real "March Madness!"

CARTOON o'the DAY: Chasing a Pot O' ... GAS?!

The Press & Guide - March 14
I paid $4 a gallon for gas today at my corner station ... I'm convinced the rumors of $5 a gallon gas by spring will prove true. So, when you're partying this St. Patrick's Day, keep watch for any leprechauns who've let their guard down ... you can nab 'em and collect their pot o' gold; and buy yourself a tank of gas.

CARTOON of the DAY: Do You Have the Time?!

The News-Herald - March 11
Twice a year, with the start and end of Daylight Saving Time, we all act like we've just circumnavigated the globe via an Airbus A380 and struggle with jet lag-like symptoms for days. My advice: Shake it off, enjoy the extra hour of sunlight ... and remember to change those smoke alarm batteries!

CARtoon of the DAY: Economic Tune Up!

The News-Herald - March 7
Downriver has been through some tough times. Let's face it, no matter what business you're in around here, you're in the automotive business. It's not just auto workers who've felt the pain of the economic downturn, it's the owners and workers at the dry cleaners, grocery stores, restaurants and other local businesses that auto workers patronize as well. But now, as things seem to be turning around at little, it's time to take a few moments to feel good about ourselves - about what we've lived through, and about the future we're helped build. There's a ways to go, no doubt, and there will probably still be more than a few bumps in the road, but I think we can all look with hope and pride to the "good new days" ahead.

CARTOONS of the DAY: Leap Day 2012

The News-Herald - February 29

The Press & Guide - February 29
Leap Day 2012 in metro Detroit may not have been picture perfect, weather-wise; but at least we didn't have to shovel the rain. An extra winter day of 40 degree temperatures wasn't so bad, was it?
