When the Ilitch organization expressed interest in Palace Sports and Entertainment, as well as the Detroit Pistons, of the NBA, it had the potential to redefine "empire." While the Ilitch family may be world-class sports fanatics, they're clearly not crazy. They've never indicated any interest in the Detroit Lions!
